The presence of graffiti not only encourages more graffiti but can also lead to other crimes and nuisances. It sends a message that no one cares about the neighbourhood. Graffiti may also cause local property values to decrease.

Prompt removal reduces the chance of recurrence, sends a clear message that defacing property is not accepted and denies vandals the recognition that they seek.  Documenting graffiti may assist the RCMP with laying charges against offenders.

If you wish to have graffiti cleaned contact the Stettler Detachment of the RCMP at 403.742.3382. They will put the Stettler Citizens On Patrol Association (SCOPA) in touch with you.

If you have any information about graffiti crime and wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS,  (1.800.222.8477) or visit the website at www.tipsubmit.com.

USE YOUR CREEP-O-METER!
You have a powerful weapon – your instincts. That creep-o-meter in your guts. If it feels weird, it probably is. http://www.getwebwise.ca/index.cfm
